Start with what you want to study
Choose your degree level, subject, and the countries you would consider. It is fine if you have not picked a university yet. These basics will help you narrow a long list to scholarships you could actually use.
Check who each scholarship is for. An award for current students may not be available to someone applying for admission, even at the same university.
Compare more than the amount
Look at what the award covers, who can apply, and when applications close. Then check how to apply: some scholarships require a separate application, while others consider you through admission.
Save the scholarships you want to come back to. Keep your own notes about anything you need to confirm, such as whether your course or citizenship qualifies.
Choose where to spend your time
Start with scholarships whose requirements you meet and whose deadlines you can realistically manage. For each one, open the application instructions and check which documents you will need.
