Find out what the money is for
A tuition discount reduces your tuition bill. A cash award or living allowance may work differently. Check what the scholarship pays for, how you receive it, and whether the amount is per year or for the entire program.
Full tuition does not necessarily include housing, flights, insurance, or other expenses. A percentage discount also depends on the tuition charged for your course.
Compare the same time period
A one-time award and a renewable annual award are not the same. Note the currency, duration, and payment schedule before comparing amounts. ScholrQ shows the original currency without converting it.
For example, a 25% tuition discount and a one-time award of 5,000 cannot be compared without knowing the tuition, currency, and length of study. Work out how much each would reduce your own costs.
Check the renewal rules
If the scholarship continues beyond the first year, check what you must do to keep it. Look for grade and enrollment requirements, payment dates, and rules about holding other awards. Ask the provider about anything it has not explained.
