Check the course and the scholarship
Your academic program and scholarship may have different language requirements. Read both sets of instructions, even if you already meet one of them.
Check the language of instruction, accepted tests, minimum overall and section scores, and any exemptions. Not every program in a country is taught in English.
Make sure your results will arrive in time
Find out when the institution needs your results and how they must be sent. Booking a test does not satisfy a requirement to submit an accepted result.
If you already have test results or a qualification that might qualify for an exemption, ask whether they are accepted. Use the institution’s answer for your course and entry year—not a general score recommendation.
Keep the official requirements handy
Save the relevant page for your course and application year in your own notes. Check it again before submitting in case the requirements have changed.
